A rare antique Lipton Tea tin box. A great find and perfect for the collector. This box is from the well known Lipton Tea Company a renown tea, coffee and cocoa planter in Ceylon, now known as Sri Lanka. When the first Lipton® grocery store opened in Glasgow in 1871 by Sir Thomas Lipton what set Sir Thomas apart was that, in an age when tea was a rare and expensive luxury, he believed that anyone, of any class, should be able to enjoy tea at its best.
This box is in it's original condition and very usable for coffee or tea today. We love the patina and the coloration. Perfect in a collection or on a kitchen shelf. Made in the late 1800's to early 1900's and embossed with the slogan "The Most Delicious the World Produces". A great find!
