This is a magnificent preserved Dall Sheep skull and horns. The skull is in good condition and the horns are rich with color and texture and very impressive. Beautiful sitting on a coffee table or hanging on a wall in a rustic environment. The horns are like art and so amazing. A beautiful Dall Sheep male.
The sheep inhabit the subarctic mountain ranges of Alaska, the Yukon Territory, and central and northern British Columbia. Dall sheep are found in relatively dry country and try to stay in a special combination of open alpine ridges, meadows, and steep slopes with extremely rugged ground in the immediate vicinity, to allow escape from predators that cannot travel quickly through such terrain.
