A clever and very collectible cast iron and glass "Tatum Co." antique inkwell. This Victorian era inkwell was made in 1878 or 1880 and was
a very clever design in it's era. The reservoir for the ink revolved to seal it against an iron plate to keep the ink from drying out.
This one is perfect and has a beautiful patina on the iron from years of use. We have paired it with a feather quill that has an antique nib
wrapped with waxed string. We have added a tiny crystal to complete the look.
Perfect for a desk and fully functional for anyone that does calligraphy or hand writing in a classic way.
A wonderful find! A perfect gift.
